The outskirts of Shillong and the high plateau around Mylliem and Smit offer postcard perfect representations of the simple life – complete with pastel green meadows, tall pine groves, crisp cool air, and quiet villages with quaint cottages and wooden fences spread across the countryside.

 

Tour Itinerary

Day : 1 DAY 01: ARRIVE GUWAHATI – KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

Meet our Resepentive at the Guwahati Airport and road to Kaziranga National Park, the home of "One Horned Rhinoceros", Check in at your hotel. Evening free for leisure or explore the local market. You can enjoy cultural show at Orchid park in the evening.Overnight accommodation will be in Kaziranga.

Day : 2 DAY 02: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK – SHILLONG

Early morning Elephant Ride (Either Central “KOHORA” or Western Range “BAGORI”) Or You will have JEEP SAFARI/GAME DRIVE in Central range/Western Range.

After Breakfast, check out hotel and then road to Shillong. The ‘Scotland of the East’ lies in the centre of a plateau surrounded by Khasi hills.  En-route visit Umium Lake/Park. Evening you can visit famous Police Bazaar (PB) of your own. Umain Lake popularly known as Barapani, this is the biggest artificial lake in the State. Surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies. Developed upon the reservoir of the Umiam Hydro Electric Project, the Water Sports Complex provides a choice of row-boats, paddle-boats, cruise boats, sailing boats, water scooters and speed boats. This is a very popular place for picnic, fishing and watersports. M.T.D.C. had started operating water-sports in the area Over night at Shillong.

Day : 3 DAY 03: SHILLONG CITY TOUR AND EXCURSION TO LAITLUM CANYON

After Breakfast, we will have excursion to Laitlum Canyon (Hiking trail). The awe-inspiring vistas of this hidden canyon will make you fall in love with Meghalaya all over again.Perched in the East Khasi Hills of Shillong,Laitlum Canyons is a little-explored haunt of the mountainous state of Meghalaya. Laitlum translates to ‘end of hills’ and this sublimely beautiful hilltop appears to be true to its name. At Laitlum, all one can see are breathtaking gorges and steep winding stairways that snake their way down to the lush valley. This is the reason why, for a bird’s eye view of Shillong’s magnificent surroundings, there is no better place than the Laitlum Canyons. Later return back to shillong Over Night at Shillong

Day : 4 DAY 04: SHILLONG To CHERRAPUNJEE (SHORA)

After Breakfast, Cherrapunjee is framed as the wettest place on Earth is 60 kms from Shillong. The journey from Shillong to Cherrapunjee offers a pleasant drive as one witness numerous waterfalls & gorges. Longer stay gives opportunity to the visitor to explore limestone caves & waterfalls, the amazing living root bridges and galore of water & adventure activities. While the must visit places are the gorgeous Seven Sisters falls and the Mawsmai cave is in your tour plan. full day exploration of Cherrapunjee. Sightseeing includes WahKaba Falls, Wei Sawdong Falls, Dainthlen Falls, Nohsngithiang Falls, Nohkalikai Waterfalls, Mawsmai Cave, Arwah Cave, MawkdokDympep Valley View and Elephant Falls. Over night at Cherrapunjee.

Day : 5 DAY 05: CHERRAPUNJEE –MAWLYNNONG – DAWKI –CHERRAPUNJEE

Mawlynnong is a village of 75 households with a population of 400. An idyllic location, this village epitomizes a standard, which all other villages need to aspire to be. Dubbed the cleanest village in India by Discover India Magazine. Paved walkways and beautiful flowerbed all along mark the village, with waterfalls, a living root bridge, and hilly rivulets.After Breakfast, excursion to Mawlynnong. Then Drive to Dawki (Tamabil – Indo Bangladesh Border and Umngot River), It’s the bordering town to Bangladesh town Tamabil. On this day you will be visiting Indo- Bangladesh Friendship border, Dawki River, Balancing Rock, Single Root Bridge &Mawlynnong Village. Later return back to Cherrapunjee. Over night accommodation will be in Cherrapunjee

Day : 6 DAY 06: CHERRAPUNJE GUWAHATI

After breakfast drive to Guwahati. Arrive and check-in at the hotel. Evening visit 'Kalakshetra', a place where Assamese history and culture. Return to hotel. Overnight stay at Guwahati.

Day : 7 Day 7 - Hotel – Guwahati Airport

After breakfast check out from the hotel & transfer to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey.

  • Any cost arising due to natural calamities like, landslides, road blockage, political disturbances (strikes), etc (to be borne by the client, which is directly payable on the spot).
  • Any increase in taxes or fuel price, leading to increase in cost on surface transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect prior to departure
  • Travel Insurance.

Booking & Cancellation Policy

Please note - Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs - in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us - a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.

In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.
