The 7 Nights / 8 Days "Himalayan Highland  Tour offers a blend of f Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalay an incredible combination of wildlife, high-altitude landscapes, rich cultural experiences, and breathtaking natural beauty, covering three of the most captivating states in northeast India.

Tour Itinerary

Day : 1 Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Dirang ( 390km/10hrs)

Upon your arrival in Guwahati, meet our representative who will arrange your transfer to Dirang (390km/10hr). Check in at hotel and stay overnight.

Day : 2 Dirang to Tawang (145Km/7hrs)

Recharge yourself with a filling breakfast. Set out and explore Dirang, a small hill station in West Kameng district. Go for a spiritual visit to Dirang Monastery (Kalachakra Gompa), which is about 150 years old. Then move on to Tawang on world second highest motor able road through Sela-Pass at an altitude of 13,700ft. On the way visit Jaswant Garh a memorial cum Mandir of a great Indian soldier. After this pulsating journey enjoy scenic beauty of Nuranang Fall (Bong Bong Fall). Check in at hotel and stay overnight in Tawang.

Day : 3 Around Tawang Sightseeing (150km/7hrs)

After breakfast, pay a holly visit to Tawang Monastery also known as Galden Namgya Lhatse, which is India's largest and Asia's second largest Buddhist Monastery. Mesmerise by the architecture and traditional art forms of these sacred shrine. Also explore age old artefacts and other related items belonging to Tawang Monastery and Mompa people in Tawang Museum. Stop by a beautiful stupa, Tawang War Memorial; in memory of great Indian soilders who lost their life in 1962 Sino-Indian war. Shop for beautiful carpets woven by local ladies and traditional masks from Craft Centre Emporium. Enjoy light and sound show in the evening. Return to your hotel for overnight stay in Tawang.

Day : 4 Tawang to Bomdila (185Km/8hrs)

Post Breakfast drive Bomdila. Experience the Monastic silence of Bomdila Monastery. Delve into Tipi Orchidarium, consisting of more than 500 verities of Orchids including some rare one. This will be shown to you the next day, en-route to Tezpur. In Bomdila, enjoy the picturesque beauty of Bomdila, from Bomdila view point. Go marketing in the local markets in the evening. Afterwards return to your hotel for overnight stay in Bomdila.

Day : 5 Bomdila to Tezpur, Tezpur Sightseeing (150km/5hrs)

Post Breakfast, drive Tezpur which is situated in the northern bank of river Brahmaputra. We will cover all famous sightseeing places. Later have a comfortable overnight stay in Tezpur.

Day : 6 Tezpur to Shillong (270km/7hrs)

Post breakfast we will drive to Shillong also known as "Scotland of the East" and its capital of Meghalaya. It is a place of paradise for nature lovers and peace seekers. We will stop by Umiam Lake, a beautiful magnificent creation of nature. After reaching Shillong, check in to your hill resort for overnight stay in shillong. Within the available time, we will drive at the heart of the city and visit Wards Lake, which is a popular tourist attraction. Then we move on to Lady Hydri park. Get the glimpse of the whole of the North-East India at Don-Bosco Museum, which is the Asia's largest Museum of Indigenous Culture. Witness beautiful landscape, lush greenery and serene environment from, Shillong Peak. Then enjoy the spectacular elephant fall. Know about Indian air force, flying warriors and history in Air-Force Museum. Afterwards return to your hotel for the night's stay. Please note that if any of these sightseeing is not completed by the evening, we will complete it on the next day. You can also go to local market in the evening.

Day : 7 Shillong & Cherrapunji Sightseeing (170km/9hrs)

Post breakfast, we will take you to Cherrapunji for sightseeing. Cherrapunji is known as the wettest place on Earth, as it witness a heavy rainfall every year. It is a beautiful place to explore in the northeast India. We will show you the notable places in Cherrapunji like the Mawsmai caves, Nohkalikai falls, the living root bridges etc. After that, we will return to Shillong and complete the rest of sightseeing in the city. Overnight stay at the same place in Shillong.

Day : 8 Shillong to Guwahati, Airport Drop (100km/4hrs)

After breakfast at hotel, check out and transfer to the Guwahati airport/railway station. Depart with sweet memories of the trip.

  • Driver allowance, Toll, Parking, Road Tax, Fuel charge, night halt, Interstate charges, Kaziranga Forest toll and forest guard welfare fees are included.
  • Child below 5 yrs sharing same bed with parents will be complimentary and will be according to hotel rules.

Exclusions

  • All personal expenses including all other activities not mentioned in the itinerary.
  • Meals those not available on the itinerary.
  • 5% GST will be charged on the total cost.
  • Optional around Tawang sightseeing (Bumla Pass, PTSO Lake, Naghula Lake, Sangester Lake etc.) taxi fare is not included in the package (Mandatory local taxi required for sightseeing).
  • Entry fees of sightseeing spots, camera fees and optional activity/service costs like Rafting, Trekking, Guide fees etc are not included in the package.
  • Anything not mentioned in the ‘Inclusions’ part.
  • For Foreign Nationals, surcharges like national park entry fees, Protected Area Permit and mandatory guide fees (for Arunachal State trips) are excluded.

Booking & Cancellation Policy

Please note - Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs - in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us - a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.

In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.
