After on arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, assistance and warm traditional welcome by our representative and visit famous Maa Kamakhya Temple on the Nilachal Hills (10kms) – a seat of the tantric cult in India and one of the 108 Shakti Pethas in the country, and then transfer to Dirang (200km 7hrs). En-route visit Tipi Orchidarium, a glass house with over 7500 Orchids. Overnight stay in Hotel in Dirang.
After Breakfast, we will check out from hotel and we will take you to sightseeing of the valley. This beautiful valley is surrounded hills covered with fruit orchards. After that, we will start our journey towards Tawang. It is perched on a vast slope of Himalayan mountainside. After light meal we are back on the way to one of the highest motor able Pass of northeast India- the Sela Pass (13700 ft.). The approach to Sela is usually marked by fog and hilly imperfect roads. En-route we will also cover Nuranang waterfalls and Jaswant Garh War Memorial. Tawang is an ideal place to go for walks especially around the villages spread on the hill side below the main town. It has mostly been remembered in times of war (1962 Indo Chinese war). Overnight at Tawang.
After breakfast explore Tawang Monastery, founded by Mera Lama Lodre Gyaltso during 17th Century A.D. a contemporary of the fifth Dalai Lama and visit Maduri lake (PTso Lake), China Border & The Tawang Gompa is definitely the high point of the town, with a commanding view of the splendid valleys beyond. Also visit the War memorial. Evening free for shopping and leisure. Overnight in Tawang.
Early morning, drive to Jang to get a breath taking view of waterfalls. Pay homage at the Jashwant Garh Indo Chinese War Memorial and down hill drive (185km, 7hrs) to Bomdila, Overnight at Hotel at Bomdila.
After breakfast check out from the Hotel and visit Bomdila Monastery & Apple Orchids and then proceed to Kaziranga. Reached Kaziranga check in at city hotel & Evening Enjoy Assam Cultural program. Overnight at Kaziranga.
In the early morning we will take you to elephant safari point of the park. On the back of elephants you can have a better view of the inside of the jungle and its wild animals. After that we will take you for sightseeing of places nearby Kaziranga national park. We will show places like orchid garden, ethnic village tea garden etc. We will also take you for a jeep safari of the national park in the afternoon. The stay will be at the same hotel in Kaziranga.
Today Morning after Breakfast check out from the hotel and drive towards Shillong, also known as ‘The Scotland of the East’ is the capital city of Meghalaya. En route you will visit the largest manmade lake of Northeast India – Umiam Lake . Evening free for leisure or for shopping in the famous Police Bazaar in Shillong. Overnight in Shillong.
Wake up early and have your breakfast and drive to Mawlynnong. Today you can explore the cleanest village Mawlynnong in the world. You can take the sky walk. Spectacular view of the living Root Bridge. After lunch drive to Dawki. Dawki is the gateway to Bangladesh where major export and import transactions take place. it is a splendid drive of 45 kilometres passing through deep gorges and ravines, which is certainly a thrilling experience. On approaching Dawki is the Umngot river, he Umngot river is the natural boundary between Ri Pnar or Jaintia Hills with Hima Khyrim of Khasi hills over which is a single span suspension bridge was constructed. Later back to Shillong. Overnight in Shillong.
Early Morning after breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee which is famed for being the wettest place in the world. First visit Elephant Falls later drive to Cherapunjee. After a drive of 1 ½ hours amid pine trees and mists we reach Cherrapunjee. Cherrapunjee possesses some exotic waterfalls and impressive limestone caves. In Cherrapunji, we visit the Nohkalikai Falls, Seven sister falls, Mawsmai Caves, Arwa Cave, Mawsmai Falls, Eco Park. Later drive Back to Guwahati . Overnight at Guwahati.
Early Morning after breakfast visit India’s Longest Ropeway, Chakreshwar Temple, Balaji Temple, Nabagrah, Sri Shankardeva Kalakshetra-a cultural centre with a fine exposition of the life and culture of the people of Assam. Evening River Cruise on the mighty river Brahmaputra . Overnight in Guwahati.
After breakfast Check out from the hotel and visit Local Market if have time and then transfer to Guwahati airport for the onward journey with a lot of sweet memories and experiences of North-East Tour. End of Service…..
