After picking you up at the Guwahati airport we will take you straight to Kaziranga. Kaziranga National Park – a world heritage site located in Assam is famous for the one horned rhinoceros. With an area of 430 square kilometers a number it is home to a number of wildlife species including migratory birds. The stay will be at Kaziranga
In the early morning we will take you to elephant safari point of the park. On the back of elephants you can have a better view of the inside of the jungle and its wild animals. After that we will take you for sightseeing of places nearby Kaziranga national park. We will show places like orchid garden, ethnic village tea garden etc. We will also take you for a jeep safari of the national park in the afternoon. The stay will be at the same hotel in Kaziranga.
We will take you to Dirang in the morning. Dirang is a valley in the foothill ranges of Himalaya situated in Arunachal Pradesh. It is quite famous among the birders as they often come to this valley for Himalayan birding. On reaching there, we will show you the beautiful valley and the sightseeing places around Dirang. The notable places to see in Dirang are Dirang – Dzong, Tibetan villages and the architectures of the village, monastery, an old mill etc.
We will start our journey towards Tawang. Before reaching Tawang, we will get many places to see on our way. We will visit those places one by one and then we will reach Tawang at last. On our way, we will show you a hot water spring just outside Dirang, Sela Pass at 13,700 feet, Sela lake, Jaswantgarh war memorial and Nuranung waterfalls. After reaching Tawang we will show you the places in Tawang. The notable places are the Tawang Monastery, Sixth Dalai Lama birthplace, Nun Monastery and rope ways to Nun Monastery, emporium, apple orchards etc. The stay will be at Tawang.
After breakfast visit Tawang Monstery world famous seventeenth century Tawang Monastery, also known as Galden Namgyal Lhatse which overlooks the wide Tawang Valley at a height of 10,000 ft. The monastery is a vast complex of 65 buildings housing Lamas and antique scriptures written in gold letters and ancient scripture, images and has an eight meters high gilded Buddha statue. It is the largest monastery in the Himalayan region and the second oldest monastery in Asia. Five hundred lamas live in its residential buildings and it is rich in.
Later visit Urgeling Gompa, 6th Dalai Lama’s birth place who is the only Indian to have risen to such a high position in Gelupka Sect of Buddhism so far. Inside the monastery there are several Stupas (Vihar) and people from all walks of life visit this place during Buddhist new year to get the blessing for the coming year. Then proceed to the War Memorial which is dedicated to the martyrs of the 1962 Sino-Indian war. The memorial is 40-foot-high and like a stupa in design. It is locally called ‘Namgyal Chortan’. The names of 2420 martyrs imprinted in gold on 32 black granite plagues.
You can also visit the craft center in Tawang sells beautiful masks, hand woven carpets, jewellery in silver, coral and amber, ‘chubas’ the local dressand delightful affordable mementos. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Tawang.
After breakfast transfer to Bomdila (8,200 ft.) - the headquarter of West Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh and also known for its Buddhist monasteries. It has a lot of attractions for the visitors for its cool climate. On arrival check in to the hotel. Later visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gonpa), Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gonpa). Bomdila offers wonderfully panoramic view of Himalayan landscapes and snow-clad ranges. Evening you can visit the local market. Overnight stay at Bomdila.
We will take you back to Guwahati. After reaching there, if there is time we will take you to show places around Guwahati like the Kamakhya, the Umananda (Smallest River Island in the world), Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, Balaji temple, river cruises on Brahmaputra etc.
We will pick you up from the Hotel and drop you at Guwahati airport according to your departure time with sweet memories of the trip with Paradise Northeast.
